Hello, Everyone. So, I have been pretty busy lately. Pentagon press is going be operational by the end of the month. Miriam and I are working on a vintage store and that has been taking up a lot of my time. Pentagon is still coming and go but as life goes I am developing new ideas.
If you want to check out my vintage store and see what we are selling here is the link.
we also have a tumblr page and follow if you like what we are selling.
We will be posting clothes and more items soon.
Pentagon press is going well as we speak. Sam Sieger and I are working out the printing process. If you want to see some of the drawings we are working on check out this tumblr I have made.
Hope all of you are planning for a awesome summer. If any of you have any questions you may reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Pentagon has not disappeared folks, don’t worry I am still around. I have been working on a few projects the past couple of months. I needed some time off from curating. I wanted to check out different things and experience not having an apartment gallery for a while.
1st project is Version fest, http://versionfest.org/
I have been assisting and helping design plans for the festival.
2nd is PENTAGON press, a project I am working on with Sam Sieger. It will be the print and drawing branch of PENTAGON and will releasing a website by next month.
3rd will be PENTAGON Is going to have a website as stated above. INTERNET GLORY!
4th is an ultra secret project I am working on with Jake Myers of Octagon Gallery and of former PENTAGON fame. We will be announcing the project soon.
If you are sad that there are no ‘new’ PENTAGON art shows coming up then go check out
Robin Kang’s opening at the Milk Factory (907 N. Winchester) tomorrow February 25th.
I will be there, if you find me then let me know. I will give you a cookie.
Oh, I forgot I had an article written about me. Check it out here:

Lately I have not had the time to post anything on the subject of Pentagon’s future. I frankly have not even had the time to post anything. I feel obligated to at least address the Chicago art community on the matter of Pentagon’s future. As of September 1st, 2011 Pentagon will no longer exist at 2655 West Homer St. I am not moving the location and have decided to reconstruct Pentagon’s mission/goals. Jolie and I after 1 year are parting our ways in co-directing the space. She will be moving into another space and I feel it is her right to announce where. On another note Miriam and I are moving in together!
What will be happening to Pentagon?
Well as of now I am working on two shows. As always Pentagon will be hosting the ‘Level Eater’ at Co Prosperity Sphere in November. I will post more information on that in the following weeks. The second will be this Saturday, August 18th at Octagon Gallery. Jesse Avina and I will be performing at ‘Fight Night’ including a whole group of other artists.
If there will not be a space, what will Pentagon become?
I think two years of running an apartment gallery seems like enough time for me. I feel like in order to challenge myself there needs to be changes. I have always tried to be as progressive of a space as possible and still want to hold up those ideals. There has been talk of curating at other spaces, developing social avenues for other artists and creating a ‘Sound’ record label. Pentagon will still be there but it might be represented by other things. I want Pentagon to be a lot of things.
Will there be a space in the future?
I have some time to think about this. I cannot run a space from my apartment anymore, I just do see what I could next with that. I have done all that I could ever want in an apartment. If had a space it would be a store front and I would continue into another direction.
Why not have a final show?
No Time. I was thinking of doing a retrospective but maybe later on this year at another space.
Well I hope that answered some of your questions or concerns. If you would like more information please email at email@example.com.
